To mark the UN Day for the International Eradication of Poverty on Monday 17th October, our study Director Anna Tarrant has launched a new Transforming Society blog about the work we are doing in the Following Young Fathers Further project and her research about addressing and understanding poverty as experienced by men in low-income families.
The post considers why the narrative of ‘failing fathers’ tends to emerge at times of crisis and suggests instead a more useful question; how is society failing its fathers?
To raise awareness about poverty issues and their implications for families, Chapter 2 of her book Fathering and Poverty has been made available for free on the Bristol University Press website until Monday 31st October.
You can also use code EPOV50 for a 50% discount on the whole book until then too.
