FYFF lunchtime webinar series 2023 – register now for the inaugural session on young parenthood!

6 January 2023 by Ben Handysides

Registration is now open for the inaugural session of the ‘Following Young Fathers Further’ (FYFF) webinar series, titled ‘Young Parenthood: the current state of debate’. This webinar will take place on Wednesday 18th January 2023, 1-2pm and you can register your attendance here (the meeting link will be sent out a day before the webinar to all who have registered).

Funded by the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship scheme, ‘Following Young Fathers Further’ (FYFF) is a four-year qualitative longitudinal study at the University of Lincoln, exploring the parenting trajectories and support needs of young fathers (aged 25 and under). Marking the final year of the study, this lunchtime webinar series will be run once a month to bring together students, scholars, policy makers and practitioners for themed presentations about young fatherhood, the sociology of fathering, teenage pregnancy and parenthood and father-inclusive practice.

If you have any questions regarding our inaugural session or concerning the webinar series, please forward these to the FYFF research administrator, Ben Handysides, at: bhandysides@lincoln.ac.uk

We are looking forward to welcoming you at our first webinar!

As Chair of @APPGMenBoys I am also calling on Sir Chris Whitty @CMO_England and the @OHID to step up and take action to create a #menshealthstrategy. Their undoubted expertise will be invaluable in saving lives. #MensHealth https://twitter.com/nickfletchermp/status/1620369451081412608

URGENT!! We desperately need a #menshealthstrategy. Men are literally dying every day in large numbers. See the graphic for the sad reality of life today as a man in our society. As Chair of @APPGMenBoys I am meeting @mariacaulfield of @DHSCgovuk tomorrow to ask for her help.
