Future Leaders Fellowships

This project is funded by Round 2 of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship scheme. This scheme enables researchers and innovators to apply for up to £1.2 million over 4 years, with the ability to extend to up to 7 years. A key aim of the Fellowships is to support early career researchers and innovators from around the world in developing their research careers by moving into a position of research leadership.  The Fellowships support research from any discipline but ‘Following Young Fathers Further’ is one of the few successful bids to advance research in the social sciences.

A government press release naming the successful fellows was published on 20th September 2020. Information about the other successful applicants to Round 2 and their fascinating projects can be viewed here.

There is also a dedicated hashtag on Twitter for Future Leaders Fellowship information including upcoming rounds and project news from current award holders: #UKRIFLF
